In our local languages—Kumaoni and Nepali—the word “Dajyu” (दज्यू) means “Elder Brother.”
In the folklore of our hills, the Dajyu is the protector. He is the one who walks ahead on the steep, winding mountain paths to ensure the way is safe for those following. He is the guardian of the family’s honor and the keeper of its traditions.
Dajyu was born from this exact spirit. We looked at our beautiful home and realized that while our artisans and local shopkeepers were masters of their craft, the modern digital world felt like a path too steep to climb alone. We decided to be that “Elder Brother.” We handle the technology and the digital storefront so that our local creators can focus on their art, safely and securely.
